The international “Meetings with the Storytellers of the World” festival

The “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre in Lublin is a local government cultural institution. It works towards the preservation of cultural heritage and education. Its function is tied to the symbolic and historical meaning of the Centre’s location in the Grodzka Gate, which used to divide Lublin into its respective Christian and Jewish quarters, as well as to Lublin as a meeting place of cultures, traditions and religions.

Part of the Centre are the House of Words and the Lublin Underground Trail.

The festival is a recognisable event on the map of Polish and European festivals promoting the art of storytelling at such a high level. The first edition of the festival took place in 2012. It was a joint initiative of Ewa Benesz, an actress and educator, and the “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre. For years, it has been featuring unique phenomena of contemporary European and world culture. The stage of the NN Theatre witnessed many brilliant practitioners of this theatrical art. We hosted artists from Italy, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Ukraine, Israel, Morocco, Russia, Spain, Singapore, USA, and Poland.
