"Nowy Głos Lubelski" podał, że doszło do próby samobójstwa, którą podjął we własnym mieszkaniu przy ul. Olejnej 7 Henryk Akelsztein:
W zamiarze samobójczym wypił większą ilość jodyny 21-letni Henryk Akelsztein, zamieszkały przy ulicy Olejnej 7. Pierwszej pomocy nieszczęśliwemu udzielił lekarz Pogotowia. Po wypompowaniu żołądka, Akelsztein w stanie niezagrażającym dalszemu życiu pozostał w domu.
