My grandpa Leon Żytomirski said, that Lublin was full of poor houses and life was very difficult for his family. The main reason for which we are here is to ‘unveil the past’, to find out what it was like here before the war, to see the house of my grandpa’s brother Szmul Żytomirski, who was married before the war and had a son, Henio.

 

Neta Avidar, nee Żytomirska,

born in 1943 in Palestine, lives in Israel. Her father, Yehuda (Leon) Żytomirski, came from Lublin, her mother Chana Hochberg came from Warsaw.

She is an artist. The first Lublin exhibition of her drawings and lithographs took place in 2007.

She has three sons.
