Brama Talks: A 3-D virtual tour of the Brama Grodzka-Teatr NN exhibition
Please join us on Thursday, January 21st, 2021 for the very first virtual 3-D tour of the core exhibition in Brama Grodzka-Teatr NN in Lublin.
The exhibition “Lubin. Memory of the Place” in the Grodzka Gate focuses on the memory of the Jewish town in Lublin. The historical gate, which for hundreds of years was a passageway between the Christian and Jewish towns, has become an Ark of Memory in which old photographs, documents, and memories are constantly being gathered. Through hundreds of pictures, sounds of streets, a model of prewar Lublin, and testimonies of former and current inhabitants of Lublin, the exhibition tells the story of a nonexistent Jewish town.
Our live guide will be Bartosz Gajdzik, the head of the education department at Brama Grodzka-Teatr NN Centre. Bartosz’s main activities in Brama Grodzka involve informal education in the field of the history of the Jews of Lublin and the Lublin Region. In addition to guiding himself, Bartosz is responsible for organizing tours of the “Lublin. Memory of the Place" exhibition.
