The “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre in Lublin is a local government cultural institution. It works towards the preservation of cultural heritage and education. Its function is tied to the symbolic and historical meaning of the Centre’s location in the Grodzka Gate, which used to divide Lublin into its respective Christian and Jewish quarters, as well as to Lublin as a meeting place of cultures, traditions and religions.

Thanks to the excellent professional engagement of Ola Krawczyk from Lublin, we could use the method of Graphic Recordings in spreading the most important ideas of the Seminar in a visual way.

Visual Thinking is my great passion. I am a graphic recorder, graphic facilitator, co-founder and creative part of SketchMovie – a film studio creating "hand-drawing" movies. I am a fan and propagator of visual communication and the use of Visual Thinking methods in business and education in designing innovations

Impressions after the seminar

It has been very meaningful and joyful personally and professionally. I met amazing people and projects and have been empowered by the networking and learning processes. I liked a lot the combination between the memory work on the Jewish and Roma heritages, and even more minority groups could be included. 


The location -  meaning Brama Grodzka, which seems to me as a miracle by itself, contributed a lot to the optimistic and cooperative atmosphere as much as knowing that there is an organization like EVZ in the world. 

 

I'm very grateful for the seminar, for the opportunity to meet so many people engaged in commemoration of difficult history, to learn from them.


Thanks a lot for organisators, they have made really great and useful work. Gathered different people in one place, help to establish collaboration. I know that it is extremely useful! I fill that in the nearest future it helps me to make some interesting projects with those whom I met in the seminar. 

 

It was not only a cognitive learning experience but also a personal and emotional journey. I took many impressions back home and feel inspired to integrate them into my work. Thank you very much. 

 

Every second I thought about my own project and got some new ideas how to make it better! Many thanks!

 

The programme allowed to look at the problem of working on difficult history from new perspectives. 

 

The seminar gave a possibility to meet wonderful people and provided contacts to new partners for future projects. Thank you very much for that. 


A lot of thanx to the whole seminar team!! Grodzka Gate fascinated with their great job, creative approach and at the same time simple solutions in the representation of Jewish history.
