“What do books offer us? Something different for everyone. Sometimes emotions, knowledge, values, peace, ideas, identity. Despite our differences in gender, nationality, ethnicity, language, age, health or professional backgrounds, through books we can safely share our experiences and understand that what we read and why we read it can bring us together. Books and people vary. And it is this diversity that is most valuable to us, because it allows us to broaden our awareness and also to build intercultural dialogue. Books ask questions and give answers we need to change and to allow us to change the world. They do not expire, they do not know the boundaries, they are open to everyone. They are close to whoever wants to take them in hand. Holding a book in our hands, we must remember that it also holds us. So, let’s stick together and go through life together, because a book is life.”

People and books vary. What we have in common is a story.
