Description of the artifact
The dishes were discovered during archaeological work in the Middle Patio of the former monastery buildings, currently the Centre for Culture in Lublin. The smaller vessel is archeologicaly called ruet with ruff and resembles the shape of the obverse poppy head. The form of the vessel is typical of the Funnel Beaker Culture. The shape of the vessel gave grounds to the hypothesis regarding storing intoxicating substances inside the vessel. Similar cruets with ruff were discovered during archaeological excavations on Willowa and Harcerska streets.
