Call for young artists and educators from Poland, Israel, Germany and Ukraine - Festival: Following I.B. Singer`s traces
International Festival: Following I.B. Singer`s traces is looking for young artists and
educators in the field of culture who will take part in a movable festival in Lublin region
(Poland). That will be an artistic and educational event for children, youth and older people
in four towns which were mentioned in Isaac Bashevis Singer books. Jugglers, actors,
performers, musicians will embark on a journey following traces of the old pre-war past.
International group of volunteers from Poland, Germany, Ukraine and Israel will stimulate
and revive the local population to their own cultural and educational development.
Volunteers in cooperation with the locals will work for three days in each town doing
various artistic workshops and on the last day, all together will have to prepare a little town
Who are we looking for:
We are looking for positive and open-minded people over 18 years old who are passionate about art and culture. We expect that you will actively participate in organizing artistic events and workshops during Festival.
Time and place:
9-25 July 2011
Festival will take place in the Roztocze (East of Poland) – it's landscape is dominated by forests, hills and beautiful ravines. The whole region is special from cultural and historical perspective.
Volunteers will arrive to Lublin and after three-day workshop will travel to four towns:
Tyszowce, Szczebrzeszyn, Józefów Biłgorajski and Biłgoraj.
