Ośrodek „Brama Grodzka - Teatr NN” w Lublinie jest samorządową instytucją kultury działającą na rzecz ochrony dziedzictwa kulturowego i edukacji. Jej działania nawiązują do symbolicznego i historycznego znaczenia siedziby Ośrodka - Bramy Grodzkiej, dawniej będącej przejściem pomiędzy miastem chrześcijańskim i żydowskim, jak również do położenia Lublina w miejscu spotkania kultur, tradycji i religii.

Częścią Ośrodka są Dom Słów oraz Lubelska Trasa Podziemna.

Volunteer at the „Following I.B Singer`s traces” Festival

The "Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre" Centre (Lublin, Poland) invites young artists and educators to volunteer in the second edition of the international project: Festival „Following I.B Singer`s traces”, which will take place in July 9-25, 2013.

 

That will be an artistic and educational event for children, youth and adults in five towns which were mentioned in Isaac Bashevis Singer books (the author of “The Magician of Lublin”): Biłgoraj, Józefów Biłgorajski, Tyszowce, Szczebrzeszyn, Bychawa and Kraśnik.


Jugglers, actors, performers, musicians and educators will embark on a journey following traces of the old pre-war past. International group of volunteers will stimulate and revive the local population to their own cultural and educational development. Volunteers in cooperation with the locals will work for two days in each town organising little town Festival with workshops and performances.


The Festival will take place in the Roztocze (East of Poland) – it's landscape is dominated by forests, hills and beautiful ravines. The whole region is special from cultural and historical perspective.


We are looking for positive and open-minded people over 18 years old who are passionate about art and culture. They expect that you will actively participate in organizing artistic events and workshops during Festival.


If you are an actor, musician, circus performer, dancer, painter, street-art artist, fire-show performer or educator you are welcome to share your ideas, experiences and works during this outstanding event!


Paid by organizer: insurance during the Festival, food and accommodation, travel expenses during the project.


Paid by volunteers: travel to Poland expenses, individual expenses

Dates of the project: You can participate in one part of the Festival (9-17th of July) or (17-25th of July) or in the whole project (9-25th of July)
