The “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre is a local government cultural institution based in Lublin. It works towards the preservation of cultural heritage and education. Its function is tied to the symbolic and historical meaning of the Centre’s location in the Grodzka Gate, which used to divide Lublin into its respective Christian and Jewish quarters, as well as to Lublin as a meeting place of cultures, traditions and religions.

Part of the Centre are the House of Words and the Lublin Underground Trail.

Volodymyr was on the voluntary service in the Grodzka Gate at the turn of the years 2014/2015.

 

Activities

Volodymyr participated during the voluntary service in the different projects:

  • Workshop for co-workers of "The Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre" Centre on the topic "What to do with difficult participants of the workshops?" - conducting the workshop
  • "Shtetl Routes. Vestiges of Jewish cultural heritage in cross-border tourism” - engaged in work related to the edition of the website and translations in Ukrainian language
  • "Letters to Henio" project - conducting the workshops in Międzybórz and Khmelnitskiy in Ukraine
  • guided tours through the permanent exhibition in the Centre  "Lublin. Memory of the Place" in Ukrainian language
