The “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre in Lublin is a local government cultural institution. It works towards the preservation of cultural heritage and education. Its function is tied to the symbolic and historical meaning of the Centre’s location in the Grodzka Gate, which used to divide Lublin into its respective Christian and Jewish quarters, as well as to Lublin as a meeting place of cultures, traditions and religions.

Part of the Centre are the House of Words and the Lublin Underground Trail.

Orit Margaliot
Orit Margaliot studied Art History and Holocaust Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has been working for Yad Vashem since 2000, and is now Head of the Polish Desk in the European Department. In addition she teaches history, art, and literature.

Mrs. Eaglstein-Benayoun is from Jerusalem, Israel. She has her B.A from the Hebrew University and an M.A in Urban Planning and Geography. She has worked at Yad Vashem since 2004. She is the Graduate Seminar Coordinator and also works as a Tour Guide in the History Museum.

Graduated from Maria Curie Sklodowska University, Lublin. Witold Dąbrowski is a manager, actor, singer and storyteller at Grodzka Gate. He has organized and coordinated many events at the NN Theatre Center and has been with Grodzka Gate since its beginning in 1990.

Education and Animation Lab

Izabela Czumak
Works at Education and Animation Lab at the "Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre" Centre. Engaged in educational projects and workshops for young people concerning the Jewish heritage of Lublin and the Lublin Region and the Shoah issues. Moderator of Polish-Jewish youth meetings; coordinator of Polish-Jewish youth meetings for Lublin and the Lublin region (cooperation with the Centre for Education Development in Warsaw).

Bartosz Gajdzik
Bartosz Gajdzik – PhD, educator, employee of the „Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre, headmaster of Education and Animation Lab, works in non-formal education in the field of the history of Jews in Lublin and the Lublin Region, conducts educational workshops for youth Poles and Jews.

Dominika Majuk
graduated European Studies in philosophy and history at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and Postgraduate Studies of Journalism at the Warsaw University. Since 2003 have been working for "Grodzka Gate-NN Theatre" Centre in the Education and New Media Labs realizing the educational and oral history projects (eg.: “Magic eye. Stories from Lublin's radio”, “Lights in the Darkness-Righteous among the Nations”, “100. aniversary of birth of Stefan Kiełsznia. Educational-artistic activietes”, “Polish-Jewish youth meetings”).

Agnieszka Zachariewicz
Collaborator of the "Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre" Centre since 2006; since 2008, member of the Education and Animation Lab engaged in educational, oral history and biographical projects concerning Jewish heritage and the Holocaust remembrance (eg.: Polish-Jewish Youth Meetings, "In search of Lubliners" – French and Swedish editions; Scriptores: Anna Langfus – Life – Work – Reception, "Saved from oblivion – Krystyna Modrzewska").

 

New Media Lab

Karolina Kryczka
Graduated from Maria Curie Sklodowska University, Polish Philology. She has worked at "Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre" Centre since 2005. She is responsible video documentation of the center.

Łukasz Kowalski
Coordinator of the Medialab in the "Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre". He graduated from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University and completed postgraduate studies at the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology. He is the author of numerous publications and presentations on selected aspects of the "Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre" Centre.
